The inspiration for this styled shoot came from Catie Coyle's favorite childhood book growing up - James and the Giant Peach! We chose to have the shoot in an open field in Portola Valley where we could utilize a lot of natural light and open spaces for each element of the shoot. We created a ceremony backdrop with lace drapes and added a garland of eucalyptus leaves that matched perfectly with the garland centerpiece on the lovely farm table set with cross back chairs. I love this look because it's simple yet dresses up the table beautifully without using a lot of flowers. We added pops of peach flowers to tie in to the peach color in the napkins, stationery and the place-cards set inside a peach! (one of my favorite parts). The vintage rentals we used for the lounge created the perfect setting for our shoot and the lighting in this space was amazing. Another one of my favorite elements was the naked cake, which is becoming more of a trend in weddings. It was perfect. This shoot would not have been possible without the amazing vendor team (listed below) that contributed to it. Thank you to all of you. And thank you to my sister and brother-in-law for being our models for this shoot - it was like another mini wedding for them! There is a lot that goes into putting together a styled shoot and seeing it featured on Love and Lavender this week made me so happy. Hope you enjoy these photos from Catie Coyle Photography as much as I do!
